On Tuesday, March 12th, at 9 am, I
had a conversation partner session with Dojun. Because I had been at a wedding
over the weekend, I mentioned that, and we talked about some differences in
weddings in America and in South Korea. As he works for an airline company, we
also talked a lot about that topic. Because of the somewhat recent Boeing plane
crashes, his work has been in a sort of frenzy. They had contracted the new
plane for the airline company, which is scheduled to come in around the next
year, I believe. Of course, this was an issue for the airline, as it is
unacceptable to have risky planes. Luckily, Boeing said they were working out
the kinks. Dojun told me that there is an issue with a certain component in the
plane that is supposed to prevent stall in flight aerodynamics. I thought the
conversation was very interesting, as I don’t have a lot of knowledge about
planes. I was also impressed about his ability to communicate complex ideas,
especially about this topic. It also makes a lot of sense though. Because his
work has to deal with airplanes, he would probably know a lot of words and
concepts relating to it.
