On Monday, April 8th, at 4 pm, I tutored Sulaiman. He was still having trouble with pronouns, so we decided to go over them. We started off with subject pronouns. I noticed that sometimes he has trouble using them and will sometimes use an incorrect one, such as in “let me know if she suits you,” rather than “let me know if it suits you.” I think he has the most trouble with “it.” We then went over object pronouns and possessive pronouns as well since he has been struggling a bit with those. I tried to come up with some example sentences that show things in real life, such as showing him “this book is mine,” or “this pen is yours.” We also went over some of his new vocabulary, which included some adverbs. I think that although sometimes he goes over the vocabulary on his own, he doesn’t seem to understand how to use some of the words properly, so I try to go over the ones he doesn’t seem to understand very well and try to use them in a context that he can understand. After going over the more difficult words, I checked his comprehension by asking him to make a suitable sentence.
